Wayne Matus brings extensive experience across many domains including litigations & investigations, eDiscovery, GDPR, data privacy & security as well as intellectual property. He has experience of being a major law firm litigation partner and managing director with extensive experience building and leading global and national teams of professionals handling innovative, complex projects, commercial litigation and global investigations. He was also the first chair trial lawyer in jury and non-jury trials.
Prior to this, he was the Managing Director and the Global Head of eDiscovery as well as member of the Global Litigation and Investigations Management Committee for UBS AG. He was part of the Compliance Intelligence Capability Steering Committee, EU GDPR Working Group, Information Security Working Group, Information Governance Advisory Committee, Legal IT Operating Committee and Global Voice Governance Committee. He has created 180-person global center of excellence and IT infrastructure for the collection, processing, transfer, analysis, preservation, disposal and review of data to address diffuse Legal, Compliance and IT support structure and complex privacy landscape (EU / GDPR / APAC / CHE / US / EMEA), mitigating risk and saving $800 million over five years.
Prior to UBS AG, Wayne was the Litigation Partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLC where he was also the Leader of the Information Law and Electronic Discovery Practice Group and Co-Leader of the Privacy Law Practice Group.
He has been a presenter, panel speaker and round table representative at several industry conferences and seminars. Also, he has been a member of faculty for various Sedona Conference Working Groups on Electronic Document Retention and Production, International Electronic Information Management, Discovery and Disclosure, Data Privacy and Security etc.

Dr. Bruce Hartley
Dr. Bruce Hartley brings extensive experience across the entire cyber security, digital investigations, software engineering, and electronic discovery spectrums. He has experience as an expert witness in support of multiple litigations involving such issues as electronic mail fraud, software development process and contracts, data destruction, intellectual property disputes (software/source code theft), protection of company confidential and proprietary information, and trade secret misappropriation.
He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Arete Advisors, Inc. Arete Advisors is a Cyber Security firm that focuses on data-centric investigations, incident response, and security assessments. Prior to Arete he was the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Discovia. Prior to Discovia, Dr. Hartley was Vice President of the Celerity Consulting Group, where he led the Digital Forensics and Investigations practice. Prior to Celerity, he was the National Director for Discovery Services at Deloitte FAS, LLP. Before joining Deloitte, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Cricket Technologies and the IT Sector Director at bd Systems, Inc. (now part of SAIC).
He has been a presenter, panel speaker, instructor, and round table representative at several industry conferences and seminars. Also, Dr. Hartley has authored numerous publications on information security, computer forensics, data privacy, electronic discovery, records management and other related topics.
He is recognized by the National Computer Security Center as a Vendor Security Analyst (VSA) and certified by the ISC2 as a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certification No. 4140.
David Mandell brings great experience across legal and eDiscovery technology domains. He served as General Counsel for public and private companies overseeing all aspects of litigation and the discovery process.
He has the experience of serving as Pop TV’s General Counsel during the rebrand and growth phase, overseeing the network’s legal and business affairs, ranging from corporate development to programming agreements to IPR.
Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel/Corporate Secretary for Mandalay Digital Group, where he managed corporate development and strategic planning, business and legal affairs, and corporate governance and regulatory matters.
